Neurodegenerative diseases are diseases in which the nerves, gradually over time, lose their ability to function until the individuals effected become paralyzed, unable to control muscle movements (ALS, MS, Parkinson’s) and/or develop dementia (Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s).
