So we're hoping that they'll be a huge focus in Diablo 4

In the event that Diablo 4 gets that right and has a similar loot system similar to Loot2.0 which was introduced in Diablo 3, then we're already worried about just how much time we'll have to invest in the game. Diablo 3's debacle is the best possible thing to happen to the franchise on a go-forward basis, and combine this alongside it's Immortal controversy, it's like Blizzard has a pretty straightforward strategy for avoiding potholes if it's to remain within the ranks of it's best players.

The Diablo 3 community has been vocal about what they don't like and has been for the entirety of the entire life of Diablo 3, so we're hoping Blizzard will take the feedback of those lucky enough to play large portions of the game pre-release. But we'd also bet Blizzard doesn't like the massive leaks of footage that has been surfacing after one of these tests.

One aspect of Diablo 3 that is confirmed to be returning are the limited-time Seasons. These are post-game bits of content that refresh the way legendary items work, and remix the content of the base game making it a replayable game already replayable. Seasons were available for a significant amount duration in Diablo 3, so we're hoping that they'll be a huge focus in Diablo 4.

This season-long approach can also set Diablo 4 up to be an even more irresistible Game Pass game, should the merger ever end. A game such as Diablo with solid gameplay is perfect to be a service that is designed for players to return to online games following a couple of months. However considering that the game is due to be released in June and the fight for the future of Activision is still in full swing, this is one title that's very unlikely to get an Game Pass treatment on day one, unless something radically changes.
