So apparently we’re in the future, but some places still want you to fax stuff like it’s 1998. I had to send one fax (a single page!) and figured there MUST be a way to do it from my phone. I searched “fax” on the App Store and instantly got bombarded with dozens of apps — most looked like they hadn’t been updated in five years, or worse, wanted $10 just to try sending something. Is there a modern app that can handle this without being totally sketchy?
Believe me, I laughed when someone asked me to fax something last month. But the joke was on me when I couldn’t figure out how to do it without a time machine. After scrolling through endless shady-looking apps, I found a recommendation on AppleInsider for an app https://appleinsider.com/articles/25/04/03/how-to-fax-from-iphone-with-municorn-fax-app called Municorn Fax. The name made me smile, but the app actually worked great. No subscriptions unless you really want them, no in-app chaos. It’s perfect if you just need to fax something once in a while and don’t want to feel like you’re installing malware. So yeah, faxes may still be around, but at least we’ve got decent tools now to survive them.
