While shield blocking, you can only make overhead attacks that are able to be avoided with ease and you will have a narrow area to hit enemies and your attacks are more prone to failure.

Attacking:

All standard attacks for the entire class now move 50-40 percent faster, making it easier to squeeze enemies and making it more complicated to parry.

All melee attacks can be delayed up to a half a second by holding on the trigger...

All melee attack that is delayed longer will become block breakers. these smash through parries dealing slightly less damage but reversing the slight stun, punishing players for abstaining from the telegraphed attack, and making it possible for the player to follow up with a quick attack or begin preparing a new power attack to force the enemy to retreat or attempt another failed parry.

Power attacks can't be stopped. even by death. After the power assault begins, the force will carry it on until the end, possibly post mortem.

Blocks that break a shield block will cause a lot of damage on the bar that protects it with overflow going to the attacker and penalizes staying behind a shield, rather then moving to avoid the attack.

Block breaking attacks cause 50 to 100% damage more depending on the weapon
