Tadaflo 5 mg contains tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE5) inhibitor used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It may also be prescribed for symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). From a clinical perspective, tadalafil supports erectile function by enhancing the nitric oxide–cGMP pathway. During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide promotes cGMP formation, which relaxes penile smooth muscle and increases blood flow. Tadalafil inhibits PDE5, slowing cGMP breakdown and helping support an erection. Sexual stimulation is still necessary for the medicine to work.
