Bitumen VG-40 is a high-viscosity grade bitumen designed for heavy-duty applications in hot climates. With an absolute viscosity of at least 3200 poise at 60 °C and a kinematic viscosity of 400 cSt at 135 °C, it offers excellent resistance to rutting and deformation under high temperatures and heavy traffic loads. Its penetration value ranges from 40–60 (0.1 mm), and it has a softening point of at least 50 °C. VG-40 is ideal for use in intersections, toll booths, and truck parking areas.
