How a Wet Bead Mill Functions in Manufacturing

submitted 7 hours ago by allwin to business

A wet bead mill is an established piece of equipment that combines solid materials with a liquid medium to produce a fine slurry paste. The slurry is pumped into a controlled environment, known as the grinding chamber, containing small grinding media. As the agitator spins very fast, the beads strike the solid material and create kinetic energy that breaks apart the agglomerated structures. Wet bead mill are used rather than dry milling when producing products such as paints, coatings and pesticide suspensions because using liquid helps to dissipate heat produced during the grinding process and eliminates the risk of generating dust.
