My son is going into 8th grade and I am working on the schedule right now. I am hoping to get a head start for him so that he can learn computer science before he starts high school; this would include taking the Java AP classes for kids but without having to do it to AP standards. I want him to have some basics of object-oriented programming in place before he gets into high school and I would like to do this in a way that isn’t an overwhelming AP workload. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding a tutor or a structured class?
