I’ve been thinking about how much time many of us spend wearing headsets now, especially for gaming, work calls, music, and streaming. Most of the conversation around headphones seems to focus on hearing loss or tinnitus, but I recently came across discussions about balance and dizziness as well.
That made me curious about Vestibular Injury from Headset Exposure and whether prolonged headset use can potentially be connected with symptoms such as dizziness, feeling off-balance, or discomfort after long listening sessions. There is some emerging research looking at personal listening devices and vestibular function, but it seems like there is still a lot to understand.
For people who regularly wear headphones for several hours a day, do you deliberately take listening breaks or keep the volume lower? I’m particularly interested in what habits people have found useful for making long headset sessions more comfortable without giving up headphones altogether.
