I’ve been working in customer support, but lately I’ve been thinking about moving into CRM or player retention. I already know the industry, so starting from a junior position doesn’t really make sense for me. The problem is that when I search by job title, I either get senior roles asking for completely different experience or a huge list of unrelated vacancies. Has anyone here made a similar move within iGaming?
I changed direction inside the industry recently, although it took me a while to figure out which roles were actually worth applying for. I was browsing SpinHire https://spinhire.io/employer and started looking beyond the exact title I had in mind. There were a few CRM-related positions where my support experience was actually relevant, especially the parts about communicating with players and working with different markets. I applied to one of them, explained in the interview why I wanted to move into that area, and they were open to it. After a couple of conversations, they offered me the position. I’ve been doing it for a few months now, and honestly it feels much more like a step forward than starting over.
