Ovulation-inducing enclomiphene citrate is often an effective means of carrying out its primary function of stimulating the ovum release from the ovaries. Enclomiphene does it because it blocks the reduction of oestrogen on the hypothalamus and pituitary gland and this leads to a secretion increase of GnRH, FSH, and LH. These hormonal flows are responsible for initiation of follicular growth and evocation (ovulation), that pave the way for successful conception.
