A crowded manufacturing environment does not necessarily have to impede the efficiency of the material flow, if proper planning of the equipment is done. The purpose of this paper is to show how important it is to take exact measurements of the premises prior to designing anything, as well as to suggest using elevated, arched, or multi-level tracks to save on floor space. Moreover, some specific issues that need to be considered before endorsing a particular layout are to be discussed here.
