InletVanes may or may not have a center hub. The design necessitates the use of two shaft bearings per shaft in the absence of a central hub. This makes it possible to locate all linkages and bearings outside of the flow stream. Compared to the center hub arrangement, this configuration offers a lower pressuredrop.
