Audemars Piguet Launches Five New Royal Oak Offshore Diver and Chronograph Watches
The Royal Oak Offshore Diver series has been completely upgraded with three new colors, while the 43mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph sees the introduction of two new versions, one of which features the brand's latest blue ceramic material.
Among Audemars Piguet's many new releases today, the Offshore series is also attracting considerable attention. Five new Offshore watches have been launched – three Offshore Diver watches and two newly designed 43mm Offshore Chronographs.
First, the 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Diver adds three new colorways, replacing the previous green, gray, and blue versions. The first is the "deep blue-green" watch (model 15720ST.OO.A403CA.01), a more subtle update featuring a dark blue dial with rose gold accents on the hands, hour markers, and crown. This design was previously seen in the 2021 Offshore Diver update, which featured a green dial version, and now the blue dial version uses the same design. The other two more striking new colorways both feature black dials; one (model 15720ST.OO.A010CA.01) has a rose gold-colored unidirectional rotating diving bezel and a white rubber strap; the other (model 15720ST.OO.A355CA.01) features a vibrant turquoise dial and a matching rubber strap.

Other aspects remain the same as the previous generation, including 300-meter water resistance, a robust 42mm x 14.2mm case size, and the internally housed 4308 movement.
Next, the brand's 43mm Offshore Chronograph watches receive two new colorways. Model 26420CD.OO.A029VE.01 features the "Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50" blue ceramic material introduced last year, applied to the case, pushers, and crown, and paired with titanium screws, case back, and crown guard. This watch features a slightly warm beige Méga Tapisserie dial with blue elements, and the chronograph sub-dials use the same "Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50" blue as the case. Model 26420IO.OO.A402CA uses the classic combination of a titanium case with a black ceramic bezel, pushers, and crown, and features a smoked green dial with beige and black sub-dials.
Both watches utilize the brand's more modern Offshore series design language, with a 43mm diameter, 14.4mm thickness, and 100-meter water resistance. They are powered by the brand's in-house Caliber 4401 movement, which features a flyback chronograph function and a date display at the 4:30 position.
You see, compared to some of the other models the brand is releasing these days, these are undoubtedly more understated – simply a clever blend of new and old colors and materials. I think it's exciting to see some life injected into the Offshore diver series, as I have a soft spot for this watch and have always longed for a version with the vibrant color schemes of the past. This homage to that era is delightful, reminding us of Audemars Piguet's most playful side, and pairing these bright colors with a black dial does somewhat balance the overall exuberance. However, it's interesting that two strictly black dials have replaced two of the three previous versions – I would have preferred to see a pink or turquoise version with a full-color dial, not just accents.
As a green dial enthusiast, you should know which of the two new Offshore chronographs released today I prefer. However, I'm happy to see Audemars Piguet's (AP) new ceramic colorways being applied to a wider range of products. In my opinion, it's more appealing than the brand's previous electric blue, and I hope that this watch launched today, as well as the new Royal Oak Offshore chronograph using the same ceramic material, foreshadows the release of more watches using the same ceramic material in the future.
