I am looking into enrolling in a PhD Theology online and am overwhelmed by the specialization options, from Systematic Theology to Practical Ministry. Since online programs allow us to study under global experts regardless of geography, I am trying to narrow down which niche offers the most long-term value.
For those in the field, which area of theological research do you believe is most relevant to the challenges of the 21st-century church? Is a broad approach better, or should I dive deep into a specific historical era?
