What are the pros and cons of phased home renovations?

My father and I are debating whether to renovate the entire house in one go or split it into phases over time. Since we are considering home renovation mississauga services, we want to understand which approach works better in real situations.

Doing everything at once seems faster, but it also requires a larger budget upfront. On the other hand, a phased approach might be easier financially, but could it lead to higher overall costs? Has anyone done a phased home renovation mississauga project and found it manageable?

We also spoke to someone who worked with Red Stone Contracting, and they mentioned that some contractors prefer full projects rather than smaller phases. Is that generally true in the home renovation mississauga market?

Another concern is disruption. If we renovate everything at once, we might need to move out temporarily. But if we do it in phases, we might be living in a construction environment for a longer time. Which option tends to be less stressful for families?

I would really like to hear from anyone who has tried either approach with a home renovation mississauga contractor. What worked better for you and why?
