Sometimes a woman will have years of wonderful sex with a man before suddenly experiencing pelvic pain. Or, on occasion, no matter how many different partners she tries to have sex with, she experiences pain the moment she inserts a tampon for the first time. Not when a woman is having sex and her partner’s penis head strikes her cervix, giving her the sensation of being punched in the stomach. Or the discomfort a woman experiences when she needs lube because she is dry. By adding lube, chronic sexual pain does not disappear.
