Washer not draining repair

It’s a familiar situation: you start a load of laundry, and when it’s done, you see that water is still in the drum. Most often, the problem is a clogged filter or a faulty pump. If you don’t figure it out in time, you could end up with a flood. It’s helpful when you can call a technician who can immediately identify the cause. If your machine isn’t draining in Ontario, it’s a good idea to check out websites with repair information, such as washer not draining repair at https://applianceforever.ca/washing-machine-repairs/ Don’t wait to call for service - it’ll save you time and money.

Thanks for the information. Could you tell me, if the washing machine is humming but not draining, is it definitely the pump, or could there be another reason? And how much does it cost on average to replace a pump in Ontario?

Hello. I have a front-loading washer, and this is the second time this month that the water hasn’t drained. The repairman said the pump needs to be replaced, but I’m not sure - maybe the hose is clogged. How can I check this myself so I don’t have to pay for an unnecessary service call?
